We are seeking a Development Team Leader, highly technical and hands-on capable, you will lead development across predominantly Microsoft .NetAngular, SQL Server and Oracle based technologies. Managing the successful delivery will require you to plan, coordinate and lead activities across the full delivery lifecycle. This will include working closely with other areas focal pointscoordinating developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders as required.  

Working closely with other team leaders within Center of Excellence Technical department will ensure the structured and coordinated planning of your team’s development. Your technical background and experience will ensure you can offer the support and guidance required being able to support and assist developers at code levelThis role offers challenges across a wide variety of projects and responsibilities, including the opportunity to identify key players, help removing stoppers, influence and motivate the team in following best practices and processes 

To apply for this role, in addition to having a proven management background you must also have proven technical capability and a track record in software development combined with experience in the leadership of software development teams and delivery of projects within a software development environment. You will be joining a team of diverse skills and experience and the job requires a motivated individual who is experienced in taking responsibility and can independently deliver results. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve technical issues in production environment. 

  • Build different functionalities for ongoing project based on requirement needs.  

  • Support the effort estimation process for complex functionalities in case is needed.  

  • Support less experienced team members with queries and technical advisory.  

  • Provide robust solutions and implementations. 

  • Follow and help spread best practices defined by the delivery architects. 

  • Detect improvement opportunities in applications model. 

  • Occasionally, attend meetings with the client to discuss specific technical implementation aspects. 

 

 

Required Skills 

Essential skills: 

  • 3+ years hands-on experience leading other developer developers in scalable software applications. 

  • An ability to identify and overcome impediments. 

  • A flexible, 'can-do' attitude. 

  • Analytical and problems solving capabilities. 

  • Ability to understand and write complex software solutions. 

  • Willingness to strive for best practices and code quality. 

  • Plan sprints, do the follow up and measure team performance. 

  • Service delivery orientation. 

  • Medium or Advanced English level. 

  • Experience in .NET Framework (C# is a must). 

  • Experience in relational SQL databases (i.e., SQL Server, Oracle, etc.). 

 

 

Desirable skills: 

  • Experience working with frontend framework such as React, Angular or Vue is also a plus. 

  • Knowledge of requirements management tools and development environments (VSTF, Azure DevOps, Jira) 

  • Working knowledge of Git version control system. 

  • Knowledge of Angular +2 and JavaScript. 

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure solutioning utilizing Azure Services or similar cloud services. 

  • Experience with RESTful web services, and design and build tools supporting APIs. 

  • Experience using Azure DevOps is desirable.
