Role Summary
The Business Unit System Analyst supports electronic payments to insurance
carriers, with a focus on enhancing system efficiency, ensuring compliance, and
driving growth. This role supports the HOIPremiumDirect team to recommend
and implement improvements in processes, data, and carrier interactions.
Key Responsibilities
System & Data Analysis
• Review payment history and carrier success rates to ensure proper system
functionality and performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify system bugs, process gaps, enhancement
opportunities.
• Monitor data volumes and investigate significant changes or anomalies.
Requirements & Documentation
• Gather, write, and manage requirements for system changes, ensuring
alignment with business needs and stakeholder impacts.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation, including user guides, quick
references, and release notes.
Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement
• Research and resolve moderately complex data issues.
• Recommend improvements to processes and systems based on findings.
• Collaborate with business leads, product owners, and carrier partners to
implement solutions.
Project Support
• Manage and support projects, adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
• Provide hands-on support wherever needed to improve data quality and system
performance.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of SQL/data query experience.
• At least 2 years as a Business Analyst or 2 years in the insurance industry.

Preferred Skills & Experience
• Knowledge of insurance tracking and mortgage loan servicing.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to connect details to the bigger picture.
• Experience breaking down complex processes into clear steps and decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) for process
mapping, reporting, and presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical and
business concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to balance both business and technical perspectives.
• Previous business or process analysis experience.
